Look for lotions and cosmetics that have a slight green or yellow hue. These colors can offset and neutralize a red complexion.

 

CHECK YOUR LABELS.

Popular anti-aging and anti-acne ingredients can irritate the skin as they assist in exfoliation. Good examples to avoid are Vitamin A derived products, like retinols and benzoyl peroxide.

 

COME CLEAN - GENTLY.

Avoid harsh soaps or exfoliants. Use a pH balanced cleanser designed for sensitive skin. Use lukewarm (never hot) water and apply cleanser with your hands rather than buffing it in with a rough washcloth. Avoid products that contain alcohol.

 

SOOTHE.

Look for physical sunscreens that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide since chemical sunscreens can be too irritating.
